Yemen stampede caused 85 people death. More than dozen injured. Here is all updates attached

A stampede occurred at an event in Yemen’s capital Sanaa that was organized to distribute financial aid for Ramadan, resulting in the death of 85 people and injuring dozens more. The Houthi rebels, who control Sanaa, have announced compensation for the families of the dead and injured. The incident occurred due to improper distribution of aid without coordination with local authorities, and two organizers have been detained while the matter is under investigation. The Houthis took control of Sanaa in 2014, ousting the internationally recognized government.

– Hundreds of poor people gathered at the event
– Houthis announced compensation of $2,000 to families of the dead and $400 to the injured
– Incident occurred due to improperly distributing financial aid without coordination with local authorities
– Aid distribution program was organized in a school
– Rebels sealed the school after the incident and barred people from coming there

– Armed Houthi rebels fired in the air to control the crowd
– Panic spread among the people present in the program and people started running away
– Interior Ministry detained two organizers and the matter is under investigation
– Iran-backed Houthi rebels seized control of Yemen’s capital Sanaa in 2014 and ousted the internationally recognized government.
