इस कदम से बैंकों के बीच मुकाबला बढ़ गया है। अब बैंक ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) को अपनी ओर खींचने के लिए ब्याज दरों में बढ़ोतरी कर रहे हैं। खासकर छोटे बैंक अब USD डिपॉजिट पर 7% से अधिक ब्याज की पेशकश कर रहे हैं, जो पहले कम था।
