Important notes (Mainland UAE)
- Eligibility: At least 1 year of continuous service (probation excluded). Unpaid leave does not count.
- Formula: 21 days/year (first 5 years), then 30 days/year; partial years prorated; cap = 24 months basic wage.
- Part-time: Proportional to working-hours ratio vs full-time.
- Allowances: Not included unless explicitly in contract.
- DIFC: DEWS savings plan (this calculator doesn’t apply).
- ADGM: Similar 21/30 rules; employers may adopt a savings scheme.
