यूएई के दो व्यक्तियों को सोशल मीडिया पर झूठी खबर फैलाने के मामले में हिरासत में लिया गया है। दरअसल दोनों आरोपियो ने अमरिती परिवार के पांच सदस्यों के बारे में कहानी गढ़ते हुए बताया था कि एक ही परिवार के पांच लोगों की कोविड-19 से मौ””त हो गई है। इस खबर के सामने आने के बाद इसे UAE के एक टेलीविजन चैनल पर भी प्रसारित किया गया था।

वहीं इस मामले पर मंगलवार को ब्रीफिंग के दौरान, सरकारी अभियोजन पक्ष ने कहा कि ऐसा कोई परिवार देश में नहीं है, जिसके पांच सदस्यों की कोरोना से मौत हो गई हो।

नेशनल इमरजेंसी क्राइसिस एंड डिजास्टर मैनेजमेंट अथॉरिटी के आधिकारिक प्रवक्ता सैफ अल धाहारी ने कहा कि “अबू धाबी स्पोर्ट्स चैनल पर प्रसारित होने वाली घटना झूठी और मनगढ़ंत है। ऐसा कोई परिवार मौजूद नहीं है और कहानी पूरी तरह से काल्पनिक है और बनी है।”
इस खबर के सामने आने के बाद अधिकारियों ने तुरंत इसकी जांच शुरू की और 48 घंटों से भी कम समय में आवश्यक उपाय किए गए। फिर जो सामने आया उसने सबकों परेशान कर दिया।

इमरजेंसी क्राइसिस एंड डिजास्टर प्रॉसिक्यूशन के कार्यवाहक प्रमुख, काउंसलर सलेम अल ज़ाबी ने कहा: “पब्लिक प्रॉसिक्यूशन किसी को भी मीडिया में गैर जिम्मेदाराना तरीके से अपने कर्तव्यों को निभाने के लिए बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगा और यह इस तरह की झूठी खबर चैनल पर दिखाने के मामले में जल्द से जल्द कानून को मजबूती और निर्णायक रूप से लागू करेगा।”
