GulfHindi.com is a Hindi-language digital news platform for Indians and the wider South Asian community living and working across the Gulf and the Arab world.
GulfHindi began in 2016 as a Facebook page answering the questions Gulf-based Indian workers were asking each other — about visas, labour rules, fees and flights — in Hindi, because that is the language most of them actually read. In 2018 it became a dedicated website. Today it is a full newsroom covering breaking news, visas and immigration, jobs, business, technology, lifestyle, travel and community affairs across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen, alongside India.
Roughly nine million Indians live in the Gulf. Most of the news that matters to them — a change in visa amnesty rules, a new labour law, a fee revision, an airline route cut — is published first in English or Arabic, in official language that is hard to act on. Our job is to report it accurately, quickly, and in Hindi, so a reader can understand what it means for them.
