GulfHindi.com voluntarily adheres to the Code of Ethics of the Digital News Publishers Association (DNPA), alongside the Norms of Journalistic Conduct of the Press Council of India and Part III of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
This page sets out what that commitment means in practice on this site.
We report facts as we find them and present all significant sides of a contested story. Where a matter is subject to opposing claims, we say so rather than presenting one side as settled. We do not distort or suppress a fact to fit a narrative.
We do not publish content that incites violence or promotes hatred or discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, community, nationality, gender or sexual orientation. We do not identify a person's religion, caste or nationality in a crime report unless it is directly material.
Private individuals retain a right to privacy. We publish personal details, images or health information only with consent or where there is a clear and demonstrable public interest — and we take particular care with children, victims of crime, and migrant workers whose employment or immigration status could be endangered by identification.
Errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed, with a dated note on the article itself. Corrections are given prominence proportionate to the original error. Our full process is on the corrections policy page.
Where we report an allegation against a named person or organisation, we make a reasonable attempt to obtain their response before publication, and the article records whether we succeeded. A response received after publication is added to the article.
Advertising, sponsored articles and affiliate content are labelled as such at the top of the unit, in every placement, so no reader can mistake them for editorial. See our advertising policy.
Opinion and analysis are labelled and attributed to the writer. They reflect the writer's view, not the publication's.
We respect copyright. We use text, images and video that we own, that are licensed to us, or that fall within fair dealing with attribution. If you believe your work has been used without permission, write to [email protected] and we will act promptly.
We exercise restraint in reporting matters affecting sovereignty, integrity, security, and friendly relations between states, and in the depiction of violence, self-harm and obscenity.
We report court proceedings factually and do not present an accused person as guilty before conviction.
Our ownership, legal entity and funding are disclosed on the ownership and funding page.
